When people work together with these principles at the center of their relationship, they will find more opportunities for success and happiness than if they had not engaged in philanthropic practices.
Mutual Respect
Mutual respect is the foundation of trust-based values. This means that if a person feels respected by another, they will be more likely to work hard and support them in their efforts. This principle also holds true when people decide who gets what from an engagement with philanthropy or charity. Conversely, if one person does not feel as though they are being treated respectfully, then it becomes difficult for other relationships to form because there is no mutual respect present.
Communication
This can happen through communication; it may become challenging to understand how others think and feel, so without clear lines of communication within the partnership, things might get lost in translation. Without these two principles at play, those involved often have feelings of shame, leading to doubt and apathy.
Investment for Transformation
To create a transformation, there is often one thing that needs to happen before anything else can occur: someone has to be willing and able to provide the initial investment of time or money (or both) for something new and different to form. It’s not always easy, but it does seem like those who are open-minded enough to jump into uncharted waters will receive some unexpected rewards from their efforts.
Role of Faith in Philanthropy
It may sound difficult at first, but if people want to change, then they must have faith and get involved no matter how uncomfortable it feels; which means taking risks with their own identities as well as finding ways where everyone involved benefits – even though sometimes these approaches might feel counterintuitive.
Lack of trust often leads to people withdrawing from society or taking their money elsewhere to fear being exploited by those who are more powerful. The opposite seems true as well: when people have confidence in one another, they will instead invest time and resources into the world so that everyone benefits – even though this might not seem intuitive at first glance. If a social change needs to happen before anything else can take place, then we need trust.
